DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, August 7, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Alimursal (Ali) Ibrahimov, CFEI®, community educator and Founder of the financial wellness platform LearnTheMoney, has been chosen to a seat on the
Texas Financial Educators Council (TFEC) Advisory Board, according to an announcement released today.

Ibrahimov is known for his community-focused efforts to promote financial wellness across the South Texas region, including personal finance bootcamps, campus workshops, and a program in Nueces County Jail to prepare incarcerated women for smooth reentry and help them rebuild their financial lives. The latter program – titled “Second Chance Money Skills” – has been featured in Benzinga, KRIS 6 News, KIII-TV, and the Texas Standard; and also was named winner of the “Closing the Gender Gap” category at the prestigious global 2026 Money Awareness and Inclusion Awards (MAIAs).

Academically, Ibrahimov is a current PhD candidate in Curriculum & Instruction at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and simultaneously completing a Masters in Finance at Harvard. Professionally, he is a Financial Analyst II at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, conducting budget strategy and financial reporting for multiple academic and research units. This analytic background gives him unique capability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, actionable instruction. He received his CFEI® credentials from the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC), of which the TFEC is a state-level offshoot. Holding the CFEI® designation demonstrates Ali’s alignment with the highest standards for quality and ethics in financial education.

Ibrahimov also was recognized as a “Rising Scholar” in the G53 Financial Literacy Research Network and was selected as one of a small number of global scholars to attend Stanford’s Financial Literacy Research Boot Camp. He recently delivered a TEDx talk on the role of financial literacy, behavior, and narrative in people’s real-world personal finance decisions.

The motto of Ali’s business enterprise LearnTheMoney is “Financial literacy for everyone.” As he commented when asked about joining the TFEC Board, “We’re working to make financial education a basic expectation in Texas, not an exception. By aligning policy, community programs, and rigorous standards, we can give every Texan a fair chance to build lasting financial stability.”

Serving on the Advisory Board provides Ibrahimov the opportunity to donate high-quality resources to both individual and institutional beneficiaries across Texas. “By giving local organizations the training, systems, and certified educators they need, this initiative turns good intentions into scalable, data-driven programs that can transform financial futures across entire communities.” The TFEC is looking forward to a long-lasting, mutually beneficial collaboration with Alimursal Ibrahimov in the coming months and years.

Alimursal (Ali) Ibrahimov brings a rare combination of academic research, financial analysis, and direct community education experience to the Texas Financial Educators Council Advisory Board,” said Vince Shorb, CEO of the National Financial Educators Council. “His work through LearnTheMoney and programs such as Second Chance Money Skills reflects the kind of practical, standards-based financial education that can create meaningful impact across Texas.

The Texas Financial Educators Council is part of the National Financial Educators Council (NFEC), an internationally recognized, IACET-accredited organization and Certified B Corporation.
