Granite Staters Can’t Afford Two More Years of Costly Kelly. Here’s Why.
 

Kelly Ayotte has secured the Republican nomination for governor, which means she’ll continue to spend the next 55 days failing to spin her disastrous record, which has raised costs for Granite Staters at every turn. The truth is simple: Granite Staters can’t afford two more years of Costly Kelly. Here’s why: 

• Across New Hampshire, the median price of a single-family home has hit its third record high under Ayotte’s failed leadership: $580,000. Ayotte has also refused to disclose whether or not she ever divested her stocks in Blackstone, the nation’s largest corporate landlord, leaving Granite Staters wondering whether Corporate Kelly has a “personal financial interest in the companies profiting from the housing crisis.”

• Kelly Ayotte raised health care costs, forcing working families to pay upwards of an additional $270 a month in new, excessive Medicaid premiums just to keep health care.  Ayotte also slashed $51 million to the Department of Health and Human Services, which has hurt New Hampshire’s most vulnerable families. More than $10 million alone was stripped from community mental health programs. 

• Costly Kelly has claimed she’s focused on ratepayers and wants to “reduce energy prices,” yet under her failed leadership, electricity costs have climbed 15%. And despite those claims, Ayotte signed a bill that opens up the door for data centers to expand across New Hampshire — threatening to drive them up even higher. 

“From now until election day, Ayotte will continue to desperately attempt to rewrite her failed record in the corner office, but her actions speak louder than her false promises,” said NHDP Chair Ray Buckley. “She can try to paint over the damage she’s done to Granite Staters’ wallets, but New Hampshire families know they can’t afford two more years of Costly Kelly.”
